The Alaska Government Finance Officers Association (AGFOA) annually offers several scholarships to college students preparing for a career in state and local government finances. Each year we offer two $1,000 scholarships to full-time students and one $500 scholarship to a full-time or part-time student. Anyone preparing for a career in public finance, including financial management, risk management, auditing, accounting, cash management or banking will be considered eligible to apply. Interested students must submit an AGFOA Scholarship Application, current high school or college transcript, and an essay. For more information and an application: |

Another year has come and gone and it is once again time to renew your annual membership dues in the Alaska Government Finance Officers Association (AGFOA). The board of the AGFOA sincerely hopes you have found value in your membership of the organization and is always looking for new way to increase that value. Along those lines, the AGFOA board has designed a new product for 2008. The 2008 Associate Member Directory will feature a copy of your business card, photo (if desired), and a brief description of your company and services (maximum of 100 words). The guide will be segregated based upon the types of services you provide. The new guide will be unveiled and distributed to the entire AGFOA membership at its Spring 2008 conference as well as being available on the AGFOA website. Best of all, the cost to you is your AGFOA membership and nothing more. AGFOA truly values our associate members and want to support you as much as you support us. Attached you will find a 2008 membership application as well as a Member Directory. Please become a member as soon as possible. The Membership Directory application, photo, and business card must be submitted by March 15, 2008 for inclusion. |
